Maple & Oak -- Menteng

I was so happy when i found out that there's new brunch spot in town that just 10 mins away from home. heard about so many good reviews also about this one so i was so eager to come.

Maple & Oak located precisely beside Keris Gallery Menteng, you can spot it easily from the main street.

They open every 7 o'clock in the morning. We came on Saturday at 9 am and the place was already packed! lucky us, there's still 1 table left inside cos outside is for smokers. The place was quite small but not in cramp way, it still felt comfortable. FYI, there's no baby chair. So if you have super active 1 year old kid, this place is not recommended.

Since the resto was so packed, it's impossible to took pictures without glimpse of others' faces. 

Chai Latte for 35K

Yellow for 40K

I asked for their best seller cold pressed juice and the waitress said their Yellow was the best seller. It mixed sunkist and pinapple. tasted very refreshing but it came in small bottle.

Maple Butter Brioche for 78K

Signature maple truffle butter, toasted brioche, beef bacon, scrambled eggs with salad on the side.

First bite and i completely sold! their brioche is indeed to die for! spread it with maple syrup and butter and it melted perfectly in your mouth!

Their scrambled eggs also very creamy and verrrrry good. om-nom-nom.

Miso Chicken Bites for 68K

Because husband already had Ketoprak earlier, so he skipped food menu then i asked my son whether he wants french fries and he answered.. "gak mau... ayam goreng, ibu" hahahaha! scanned to the menu, this is the closest thing we got for ayam goreng! :p

Miso chicken bites acording to menu is chicken thigh marinated in butter coated miso and ponzu with sesame seeds, roasted sesame mayo, braised red cabbage and sesame powder. Well, well, well sounds sophisticated! but when it came and i took a bite, it tasted like chicken kaarage! it delicious but i expect more for that price-tag.

Overall, it was a lovely brunch we had! i cant wait to comeback to try another menu
