Frenchie Bistro & Coffee -- Tebet

I've been passing this little Restaurant for so many times cos it just 5 mins away from my mom house but never put my interest on it until like months ago i accidentally click their page on Zomato and saw their menus and i was like Wow! this is like the affordable version of Paul! In my whole life, i just did twice to dine in at so called french restaurant which are Eric kayser (and i didnt order anything french there!) and Kebun bistro.
And just couple time taking away Paul's eclairs and artisan bread, because their in house menu is too pricey for me.

Back to Frenchie, this restaurant located exactly beside Cheese Cake Factory Tebet. They shared the same parking lot with the ever eye catching Taco Cantina. You wont miss this one!

Entered their place, it was love at first sight to me. Neat, clean, cozy, and playlist that warm you to the heart. When we came, only 1 table occupied and it was even more perfect, so serene!

We came around 4.30, with not so hungry tummy, it was perfect time to taste their breakfast menu.

Escargot Au pesto for 35K
Served with 3 pieces of garlic bread, the escargot was buttery and 6 pieces def not enough for me and hubs! so happy cos this one is delicious and cost you only 35K. tee-hee.

Plain Croissant for 16K
 Ordered this for my little son, he only bite it a little and ate 2 garlic bread instead.

Croque Monsieur for 50K
Smoked beef sandwich with Bechamel cheese. A simple sandwich yet a hearty one for me. Love it! now i cant wait to taste the 90K version of Paul. ;p

De Bouf Au Jus for 60K
Roast beef sandwich with au jus sauce. This one was hubs' course, i took a bite and for me their roast beef was hard to chew. But hubs still like it and he adored the salad! the same salad for my croque monsuier, it was fresh with lemony dressing. He said he doesnt mind to have this salad every single day at every single time.. fun way to have diet he said!

Lime mint fizz and Strawberry mint fizz. Each for 22K
Those two was recommend by the waitress but it was simply so-so. next time i'm going with their latte.


I would say this place really worth your visit. With their affordable price, nice ambiance, all waiters and waitress were so polite and friendly... i really can't ask for more.

Cousin's Day Out









Kegiatan weekend tanpa mall kali ini mengunjungi TMII! terakhir kesini (bukan buat kondangan yaaa) kayaknya jaman kuliah.. tapi waktu itu iseng aja main ke Museum Air Tawar gara-gara seaworld mahal! :p
Senangnya kali ini kakak ipar ikutan dan anaknya gw 'culik' buat nemenin Ammar di mobil dan keliling-keliling museum.. hepi berat deh Ammar karena dia bener-bener look up sama kakak sepupunya yang emang cuman 1-1nya ini.
Setelah kena macet yang lumayan banggeeetttssss.. nyampe TMII udah jam 12.30, langsung ke tempat Gondola. Pas lihat di loket fee-nya lumayan wow deh 40K/orang (diatas 1th bayar) tapi pas diinget-inget lagi jaman sekarang ya naik chuggington ngiterin 1/2 lantai mol aja palingan 2 menit aja juga 40 ribu! jadi bisa dibilang naik gondola ini cukup affordable.
Sebelnya Ammar sempet tidur.. akhirnya dipaksa bangun deh kirain bakalan cranky, pas tau lagi diatas anaknya girang! Horeeee... Ebo gak jadi rugi bandar!
Kelar main Gondola, makan siang dulu di CFC bawah abis itu lanjut ke Museum Transportasi yang fee-nya ya envelopeee... 2 ribu perak ajah kakaknya! Karena murah betul gw sempet underestimate sama keadaan didalam. Ternyata museum ini emang jadul luar biasa... gak ada pembaharuan sama sekali tapi bersih loh jadi nyaman banget, dan tempatnya terutama bagian kereta - kereta tua photogenic abis.. banyak yang foto pre-wed disini. 
Selesai gempor ngelilingin Museum Transportasi pindah ke Bird Park. Nah, ini fee-nya lumayan juga yaitu sebesar 20K/orang tapi worth it sekali mengingat Bird Park ini bersih banget, terawat, pokoknya adem deh liatnya.. walopun banyak pupup burung tapi gak bikin taman ini jadi bau... thumb up, gan!
Abis itu sebenernya pengen ke anjungan Bali buat lepas rindu (iya! gw emang sebegitu kangennya) tapi kaki udah gempor berat plus badan udah pliket banget minta diguyur air es! yowis.. until next time ya TMII! walaupun gak tau kapan karena masih trauma kena macet pas pergi dan pulangnya. Sigh.

[REVISIT] The Harvest Deli -- Kota Kasablanka

Here comes another farewell! this one by the one that i feel so close at the office.. so so sad!
We share the same 1st day here like year and half ago and now we bidding each other goodbye. Lucky him got new offer with better salary. Part of me was so happy but another part of me feeling sad also. He was the best gossip partner you can ever wish! He even got called "Princess Emon" cos he acted like a little spoiled princess most of times! cranky and clingy. Lol.

He asked wherever restaurant i want to celebrate his new life and i quickly answered Harvest Deli cos my 1st visit there was sublime. Let's!

Hot Chamomile Tea for 25k; Ice Tea for 25K
Mushroom Ravioli for 65K
Pasta stuffed with mushroom and creamy white wine sauce. At first i really want to order this then i read it contained with white wine so i chose another pasta. My friend said this one was good but not fulfilling at all. Ended up bought batagor abang-abang afterwards ;p

Ravioli Carbonara for 65K

Pasta Stuffed with carbonara sauce, beef bacon, sauteed zuchini and parmesan. Actually the tasted was good BUT waaaaay to salty!! i even couldn't finish it, such a bummer cos i really like the ravioli! the texture was perfect and the carbonara sauce on it was delicious.

Even tho not as good as my first visit, but still want to go here again!

A recipe for your weekend's breakfast






Minggu pagi kemarin gw bangun dengan teramat bahagia... setelah 2 tahun lebih akhirnya gw ngerasain lagi yang namanya tidur 7 jam blaassssss! dari kamis malam gw iseng pakein young living oil lavender yang udah nganggur berbulan-bulan di telapak kaki, punggung sama belakang kuping Ammar, gak lupa di bantal juga.. uwoooowww mujarab! kirain bakalan selamanya, gw udah menyambut selamat datang dengan gegeap gempita ke waktu tidur yang abru ini, tapi semalem gak ngefek tuh.. ampe gw oles berkali-kali ke Ammar, anaknya tetep rewel all night! ggrrrrrwwwllll... kenapa gw ini kalo jumawa dikit langsung kena batunya eeeaaaa... kzl deh kakak.

Anyway.. balik lagi ke minggu pagi, karena hati hepi.. jam 5.30 udah grasak grusuk di dapur bikin Baked Mac n Cheese. Minggu lalu Ammar berhasil ngabisin 3/4 Mac n Cheese-nya Fish n Co! tau sendiri porsinya Fish n Co cocok buat yang gak makan 2 hari.. eke sampe terpana.. jadilah kemarin nyari resep yang gak pake ribet. Resep asli dari food.com terus gw modif biar masyuk ke lidah endonesa.. tau sendiri kan kalo resep bulay suka hambar bener macem hubungan KD - Loly *apeu*
here we go!

Classic Baked Macaroni and Cheese (serves 4)

Ingredients:
- 225 gr macaroni
- 4 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp flour
- 200ml milk
- 1 cup cooking cream 
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp blackpepper powder
- 1/2 tsp merica
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (gw pake kraft biasa, kayaknya lebih afdol kalo pake yang quick melt)

How:
1. Panaskan oven pada suhu 200 dercel dan rebus macaroni hingga matang, sisihkan.
2. lelehkan butter di wajan besar
3. Campur flour, salt, blackpepper powder, merica lalu whisk hingga merata. kemudian masukan campuran ini ke dalam wajan berisi lelehan butter diaduk merata dengan api sedang selama kurleb 2 menit.
4. Setelahnya campur susu dan cooking cream sambil tetap diaduk. lalu kecilkan api dan masukkan sedikit demi sedikit shredded cheese sampai menjadi kental.
5. Setelah kental, masukkan macaroni dan aduk sampai rata kurleb 2 menit. angkat pindahkan ke wadah (gw pake pyrex ukuran medium) dan panggang 20 menit.

The verdict: enak! kalo diresepnya kunci enaknya itu di cheddar cheese. harus yang bagus biar makin tasty. gw gak ngerti sih cheddar cheese yang bagus tuh yang kayak gimana.. mungkin yang warnanya orange banget itu kali ya yang suka gw liat di supermarket tapi ya itu harganya lumayan mahal.. sebagai gantinya gw lebihin di takaran seasoningnya deh.

Little reunion with the Bankers



 



Hari minggu kemarin kita kedatangan tamu dari Bekasi dan sekitarnya! ahaaay.... mereka ini adalah teman 1 cabang jamannya gw masih di CIMB, dari ber-4 tinggal 1 aja yang masih bertahan.
Resign dari Januari 2014 terus terang gw udah gak pernah kepo nanyain gimana kabar debitur - debitur yang dulu, palingan nanya kabar temen- temen yang lain aja. Nah kemarin temen gw yang masih di CIMB dan yang masih kerja di Bank lain cerita gimana ngerinya ekonomi sekarang. Kalo dulu kan biasanya jelas sektor apa yang lagi down, misalnya beberapa tahun lalu batubara sempet down banget yang mana debitur - debitur gw sempet collapse bahkan salah satunya ada yang sempat jadi headline nasional! ngeri banget deh pokoknya.. nah sekarang lebih ngeri lagi karena rata semua bidang gak bisa diprediksi jadinya nih temen - temen gw yang di bagian Business dan Coorporate cuman bisa sabar-sabar aja deh ngadepin debitur macet, debitur yang bentar lagi macet, dan yang kira-kira bakalan macet! *inhale..exhale...*
Keadaan ekonomi yang makin gak waras makin bikin deg-degan buat orang-orang yang punya utang di bank kayak gw.. ngeri kalo bunga KPR naiknya menggila! yaudah deh.. taun depan balik lagi aja jadi karyawan CIMB biar bunga KPR-nya cuman 4%! XD

Selesai ngomongin yang ngeri - ngeri balik lagi hahahihi ngomongin kejadian - kejadian nyebelin jaman dulu tapi kalo dibahas sekarang jadi lucu! Oh.. they were the best colleagues i've ever had!
